Don’t Fear The Fear – Start REO Foreclosure Clean Up
We are living in scary and exciting times. Our times are scary because there are whole industries that are disappearing overnight. And new industries are popping.
I have been hearing the horror stories of people working their hearts off for years at various companies. See the chart below of layoffs in the United States.
I hear the stories of friends getting laid off from work all the time. They work for the same company 10-15-20-25 years. Then one day, when they are in their mid 50’s they, get let go from a company.
I was 31 years old. I worked for a group of real estate investors. They closed their office after they millions. I was just let go just like that. Here is a list of layoffs.
I started a career in real estate sales. I did very well from 2001 to 2006. In 2006 the real estate market started to slow down. It became very difficult to close a real estate transaction as the real estate market was declining.
In 2006 I started a foreclosure clean up business. I did very well trashing out REO homes. I would clean an average of 125 homes per month. Completing 2-3 board ups a week. Fencing 1-2 properties per week. There will always be a need for junk haulers to clean up bank-owned REO properties.
